Got some cleaning done today, and pressure tested it. I did find a leak from one of the bottom push nipples. Going to try JB Weld on it.

I try not to do anything half-way, I realize a leak is a leak, JB Weld is not a permanent fix, and what the hell...if there is one leak there is the potential for more and I don't want to have to take this thing out after it is installed because it is pissing water on my kitchen floor...so...

Here's the leak.

Cleaning is much easier now.

Moving the unit into the house is no problem now, since I will assemble it a foot from it's new home.

The places I have to travel to for new nipples! Doesn't anyone rebuild radiators anymore?

Thanks. Should be painting the flip sides tomorrow. I'll have it installed just in time for spring. :(

I didn't realize an ax was the proper tool for disassembling a radiator

John, I thought you were set up for Forced Hot air. Are these radiators for other sections of the house?

Yes, forced hot air right now. I'm collecting radiators for the eventual switch. I don't like hot air heat! I have the boiler so why not?
