I have a 520 stoker. I've used probably 4 tons so far. My daytime t-stat is set at 67. Night time is 64. I fired up the boiler on Oct. 15. I have an old victorian built in 1884 with no insulation. Please let me know how you guys are doing?

1880 triple bricktorian. Heating basement with wood only but heating 2nd floor with wood and coal used 3/4 ton so far.
This probably does not count since I burn both wood and coal.
Burn wood all day then coal overnight. In morning dump wood onto hot coal coals. At night dump coal on top of wood coals.

About 2 tons. Heating 2200 sq. ft. well insulated split level with most windows argon filled double pane glass. I re-plumbed my two boilers into a true primary secondary piping system last summer. This eliminated my thermal siphoning heat loss problem. It's made a significant reduction in my coal consumption.

Heating about 2500 sq. ft. since Sept. 20th. Used about 120 50# bags or 3 ton. Hope to reduce that next year by installing recirc loop and maybe a 40 gal. storage tank in the recirc loop. Using about 65#'s a day in Jan. and it has been cold.
