Special Shear Pin Offer to the Coal Forum

Stoker Coal Boilers automatically feed the coal and have controls and pumps just like any conventions boiler. They are intended to be used as a primary heat and often have domestic hot water coils as an added bonus. They can be set up independently or in dual sytem with your existing oil/gas boiler. They can accommodate both hot water base board or steam plumbing.

Instead of using nails, brass rods, etc, anybody wanting genuine shear pins for their efm stoker can send a check for $5.00 made out to: {ADDRESS REMOVED} and we'll send you 12 shear pins by return mail.

stoker-man wrote:The shear pins that efm uses are rated to break at 25 foot pounds of torque. They only cost pennies apiece and should always be on hand. Using anything with more or less strength will cause needless breaks of the substitute pin or the worm.

An extra short worm is a good investment, but may be a hard sell because most worms last for 20 years or more.
Five Bucks?

How bout a few pennys and a Stamped Self Addressed Envelope.

They can't be shipped in a regular envelope. Figure $2 for the padded envelope and postage and $3 for the pins, time to pack it, and address it, and we're performing a public charity. :P

Folk's time is worth something, and this isn't allowing anything for EFM! Thanks Chris, envelope inbound.....
How many gear cases or shafts have snapped from wet coal issues, broken or bent augers....usually on a holiday weekend when it is 25 below and you have a 3 foot snow storm. PPPPPPP (proper prior planning prevents p**s poor performance) Words to live by............ :eek2: :fear: :hangover: :secret:

We're also happy to replace broken parts for those who use nails. :)
