Wood, Coal, Combo? BTU Rating? Etc....I guess it depends on what you are looking for, how big of a house you are looking at heating, etc....

Probably older and out of business, or bought out by someone else. Might be hard to get parts too.

I appriciate the feedback. Yes, the unit is 1980. My buddy has a firchief and he is telling me this energy-tech is in great shape. It is across the street from him and the new owner wants it gone. They don't now how to operate it. Its just there weekend house. If you have a suggestion on a way to track the company down olet me otherwise Thanks for the feed back.

The grates will determine what you can burn, if it has shaker grates then it can burn coal. There is a member or two that have that beast IIRC. The only parts that would be a problem is the grates, if they are in good shape I would buy it. Blowers, gaskets and controls should not be a problem. $100 is cheap!

Coaledsweat, As soon as my buddy shouts at me on the radio I'll have him check the grates as well as the BTU. What is IIRC ?
Thanks
