They should be reported to the PUC.

Fuel prices are way down from last summer but haven't seen any sign of delivered goods dropping.

Rockets and feathers. Prices shoot up like a rocket and come down like a feather.

I remember when fuel surcharges were added to bills as a result of an energy spike. Can't remember which spike because there have been so many over the years. I also can't recall any of those surcharges ever being removed from bills.

Now my bill has "fuel surcharge" item on it. Thanks, Nut. :D

PA going to 12.12c KWH on June1. A quick look at other offers will get you 8.3c for the same 6 month term as PPL is offering. Slightly higher for 1 year term at 9,4c. The price goes up to mid 10s as you select 18 and 24 month terms but none as high as PPL for a 6 month term. Seems they dont even want your business unless a lot of people dont bother to check and just pay the PPL freight.

Seems most of the providers dont want to take a chance on low rates farther out than 6 months. I guess thats a vote of no confidence in the stability of the market place.

Some people just stick with PPL out of habit or they are too lazy to keep track of it all. If you you don't switch when the term runs out the rate usually jumps up to something stupidly high. They are playing the percentage game hoping most people just let it ride. PPL got out of the generation end of things and only provides a fall back for the ones that don't shop.

Im guessing thats a good chunk of the public that dont shop and when they do dont follow up. As soon as i get a generation offer that includes a $100 gift card i know its a bad deal .High rates, enrollment fees ,monthly fees or cancellation fees or all of the above. Usually 3 to 6 months of that before it rolls over to something worse.

Yeah, those rewards usually mean high rates and frustration trying to collect them. I'm going through that with my current 3 mo. plan. All kinds of rewards. Something like $25 per month. The thing is they only let you apply 5 or 10% of them per purchase on their own shopping site. Not worth it. Requires more work than I am willing to give. Just give me low rates and I'll stay with you forever.
