Just a reminder that members may want to check on the latest energy saving incentives available from their state or utilities.

In RI $0.087/therm natural gas and $0.014/Kwh electric is collected to fund energy efficiency measures. I just had additional 12" insulation, additional attic ventilation, and new door weatherstripping installed in my rental cottage completely paid by the utility surcharge funds.

In Illinois you can learn about low-interest financing opportunities to pay for qualifying home energy improvements.

Wow what a big help that is. This state is a joke. If it wasn’t for the job, I would be out of here likity split like so many others are.
