Welcome to the forum, friend!Chefron wrote: ↑Wed. Jan. 26, 2022 9:43 amI am from Poland and I have a question. How many people do you have underfloor heating in the form of Pex / Al / Pex pipes loops in a cement floor?
For me, it is a very popular solution, thanks to which you can use low-temperature heat sources.
I also have local restrictions on burning coal and wood (mainly in cities).
PEX in cement floor is a popular option for new construction. Low temp heat sources are a great advantage.
Many of use have older homes, with complicated efforts and costs of installing new concrete floors for PEX preventing us from making such a change.
Very high construction costs right now are another problem.
Stay warm.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone use pex/Al/pex in concrete, but we do use normal oxygen barrier pex in concrete.Chefron wrote: ↑Wed. Jan. 26, 2022 9:43 amI am from Poland and I have a question. A friend was just telling me about it, they just bought an outside wood boiler, not hooked up yet....
Looks like a lot conflicting information on the internet on this topic. weather its completely true or just the interpretation of it about reducing emissions/green house gases by 2030, 2050, etc....

States that won't frack want to buy electricity from states that do frack and swapped a lot of coal plants to gas, we should refuse to sell them electricity and tell them to put their power generation in their own damn yard. Now we have a governor (Pa) that wants to force us to pay a carbon tax, how we going to collect the carbon tax from NY and MD on the electricity they buy from our fossil fuel generated electricity? Go Nuclear, solves a lot of problems, 5,6, and 7 generation design nuke plants are safe and can go 30 years without refueling. Fukushima was 1st generation design,Chernobyl was unsafe design from the getgo. All i know about 3 mile island is the environment wasn't contaminated. Navy has been running reactors in subs since the 60's with no catastrophic failures and no accidents that i'm aware of. Was on a sub in the 70's,could walk across the top of the reactor and look down thru the xtra thick glass window and see the blue glow, haven't grown a third eye or an extra nut yet. The greenies and libtards will kill this country if they get their way,so split that wood, dig that coal and burn baby burn.

The town of Chester where Iive has specifically banned outside wood boilers. There were questions on this at the town hall meeting. The answer was why are you complaining nobody has actually applied to install one. However, The ban is in effect.

They want to stop it before it gets that far since they have a large local population
with very old houses that are not sealed all that well.
The Village of Geneva, NY is a prime example of this where a resident put in a huge classic
forest eater/smoke dragon and it smoked when it was idling and the neighbors started
complaining about the smoke coming in thier houses and they forced him to stop using
the boiler period.
