Varde Aura 11, will it burn smokeless fuel

My first post! I’ve a Varde Aura 11 wood burning stove.

The problem, it does say 'Wood burner' NOT Multi-burner. But two retailers that I've contacted say yes you can burn smokeless in it. Also it has a shaker grate, see https://tinyurl.com/2rb2bz7y, page 13, which from my reading meets the solid fuel requirements.

It’s not a stove I use very often, maybe once a month and I use kiln dried logs but it would be handy to throw on a small amount of smokeless.

The stove is of Scandinavia design and it occurred to me that as wood is a main fuel there it just wasn’t tested for solid fuel.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer, and please feel free to expand on my question

Kevin

When you say smokeless, do you mean anthracite coal?

Seems like it will, but bed depth might be a problem, as is the composition of the insulating liners not being hard enough to withstand the abrasion of coal.
