whats the size of nut that holds air damper on a grandpa fisher stove, my newly acquired one is missing left door thanks everyone, happy turkey day. stay safe please!!!!!!!wash hand , social distance as much as possible, you heard it a million times

Can you stick a ruler on it and read the size?

If other responses are slow coming you might ask over at "The Hearth" forum...a separate unrelated group of mostly "wood-burner types"

There is only handful of common bolt sizes , based on use I would guess probably a 5/16ths. Might be 1/4 which is a little smaller.

Each bolt size typically has a common coarse and fine thread pitch. For 1/4 it's 20 and 28. For 5/16ths it's 18 and 24.

The local hardware store I work at sells individually, many do. It might cost you a whopping 60 cents to buy all four nuts. :lol: If you post a picture with something like a quarter next to it I might be able to help you identify it better.
