This is for gas boiler...I'm completely lost here, I got a good deal on these relays but I'm not sure I can use the zone on the aquastat with them.
Just so I can clear this up for the relay:
1 - Hot
2 - Neutral
3 - hot for pump
2- neutral for pump
T T - no polarity, just hook red /white for thermostat to either.***
Thermostat energizes T T and pump comes on... Correct so far?
X X on relay(s) are daisy chained to Tw and Tr on auquastat? ***Making sure that red white are not crossed along the way? I only have 2 relays and I need three zones so I'd have to go buy another one.
Aquastat Manual: https://www.beckettcorp.com/wp-content/uploads/20 ... Manual.pdf
This what they have for three zones in Aquastat doc which is different thatn what I described but I'm not sure how this applies to the relays I have or even if it does.

The boiler needs to fire on call for heat.

ZC / ZR are 120v. TW / TR are low voltage The boiler needs to fire when it sees the water temp is below the low limit then it will fire the burner until the high limit. Warm or cold start.

XX's are typically tied in parallel with other XX's at TT (aquastat) on just about every wiring diagram I've seen.... It even shows that on the drawing above.

I'm aware of that but based on what I'm reading I can daisy chain X X on the relays to TW TR. I want to confirm that but one concern is about hot and neutral because the relay does not differentiate.
Optionally I can use the setup provided by Aquasmart but I'm not sure that schematic applies to the relays I have.
Whatever the case I need the boiler and pump to work off three T-Stats. If that requires different relays, another relay or whatever that's what I need to do.
The default on this is no LO limit, it will drop to ambient temperature if there is no call for heat. It makes heat quick, it can raise the temp in a minute or two. Even if you enable the lo limit it won't allow you to set it higher than 120. That is how it's been set up to this point for the one zone and the pump just keeps running and running at 120 when it's cold. It's bad enough with one zone doing that, I'm adding another one. Plus it's very efficient in shoulder seasons not maintaining the boiler temp. The boiler needs to fire when it sees the water temp is below the low limit then it will fire the burner until the high limit. Warm or cold start.

My concern is the hot and neutral, the aquastat has TW and TR. I have basic understanding of electricity but most importantly I know when to stop and ask.

In case anyone is wondering why the Mayor has gas boiler this was my Grandmother's house and it was installed for her 5 years ago. I inherited it.

I was assuming a normal aquastat with TT. If you don't have those, I'm not sure how to trigger the boiler...Richard S. wrote: ↑Tue. Welcome to my world. The plumber that installed this was less than desirable. The ground for low water cut off was installed wrong place and we had problems with it shutting off, I installed correctly but didn't fix it. After hours of researching finally found out the probe for the well wasn't fully seated. Even worse he hooked up the water lines backwards on water heater also installed same time.
He never hooked the old relays up correctly so they could both fired boiler and to make things worse he never enabled the lo limit so the one zone was pumping cold water forever until the other zone fired boiler.
He had a T-Stat wire going from one relay to aquastat which worked for that zone BUT that T-Stat has connections labeled R and W. They are 60 years old and the one makes buzzing noise so I want to replace them.

Is this what your thinking? With the blue wire on c1 or zc for power?

My assumption is I can just run the hot to the boiler and 1 on the relays.
What you have for the X X is exactly what I'm thinking but I'm not sure about the polarity.

Never is polarity on 24vac...ac being the key here.

just a quick look...
I would treat the RA832A Relay (3rd zone) as a clone of it's "2 cousins" over in the 7200 Aquasmart...wire it identically...be sure to use the 7200 Aquastat's ZR & ZC when cloning.the RA832A.

The aquastat has TR and TW. Why are they labeled specifically?
I'm not sure what you mean. Wire the T-stat wires like Holden posted?I would treat the RA832A Relay (3rd zone) as a clone of it's "2 cousins" over in the 7200 Aquasmart...wire it identically...

yes, like *Holden*
AC never has polarity...can't answer for someones labeling...R and W can make multi-zone wiring look neater???
