You'll never see a new oil refinery in your lifetime..

20 years just for the permit .... Years of construction...

No CEO is going to push for that when they can buy

refined product on the oil market to fill in for spot

shortages... !977 last build date...

My Sunday school teacher lived in the neighborhood, and would pick me up in her Red Galaxy 500 with white interior, I even think it had a white vinyl top. That car was sharp, even to a little kid

Oh yeah her husband had a Bronco II which are selling on Mecum for 40 thousand plus who would of known
And yes he worked at the High School and sometimes would ride me in, and he had that knob on the steering wheel to help with tight turning. Boy I wish I had both vehicles.

Ive had a few Galaxies. A 1963, 65, 67, and a 66 and 67 custom 500 model. All but the 63 had the dreaded frame rust issue. Great cars otherwise.

Bronco II's are worth big money? Wow, I didnt know that. Maybe in 20 years (if that long) the last surviving Tesla will be valuable...

OOPS  the original Broncos were smaller then. I was talking first generation. The original Broncos where small before they became Bronoc's II my mistake. Never the less they were low cost back then, and bringing big money now :o

Those early Tesla's will still be on the road in 20 years

and have 400,000 miles on them!!!!

Some may outlive their owners...

Unlikely unless it was collector type, just like any other car once a major component fails like a battery for example the cost of fixing it has to be weighed against everything else. You still have normal issues like brake lines, suspensions etc. These cars also have the added problems of a lot of electronic gadgetry, the door handles for example. Not whole lot of older vehicles in the junk yard for parts and even aftermarket parts may be difficult/expensive to obtain if there isn't enough market.

I sold a 15 year old car once with 200K on it that ran fantastic and overall was in decent shape mechanically, $300... paint was shot, interior was shot. Not many people want to invest thousands into a vehicle with that many miles.
