We have an Outback FM60 controller and varies around 28-29volts peak when fully charged. has a temp sensor on one of the batteries if it gets too warm will back down voltage/current. it cycles thru BULK charge, Absorbing, float charge. Its been working for 4 years now. have only equalized them once, but most of the batteries are running around the 6.2-6.3 volts (6 volt golf cart batteries in series.) They usually only need topped off with distilled water every few months. about a gallon for 12 batteries.

Where might I get one of these de-sulfate units? Do they make them for 24V?
As I explained in my original post, I use a very common 12 volt model so as to not limit it's use from our mini fleet of automobiles. And what I am saying is for a 24 volt bank I would simply do it twice as the two 12 volt halves.
A volt meter would read 12 volts where you would connect the charger anyways...nothing is wrong doing it that way. :)

Would think any "Smart Charger" would include this de-sulfate feature???

But if you must, there are the 24 volt models also...
