This new pellet stove piqued my interest.... I'd love to (as a hobby) get a pellet mill and make pellets from my stand of Miscanthus Giganteus, and burn them in an electricity free stove. However it looks like this won't be happening for a while....

I called DS Machine this morning to ask about the status of this project. The guy I talked to said that they have no immediate plans to begin manufacturing this particular stove. He said that they need to come up with a way to re-package the stove to look more like a traditional stove, and that they need to improve its performance. He said that in its current state, the stove is not something that DS is willing to put their name on, and sell. I also asked if they had any prototypes in progress, and he stated that he could not discuss that.... LOL. Those sneaky Amish!

That stove will also burn corn, cherry pits, mouse droppings and WH executive orders (but they smell real bad). The question is why bother.
