Hey Guys,

I just received this interesting email from United States Stove Company regarding their new advancement of a window/wall pellet unit. It's kind of a neat idea. I wonder if we could do something like this with anthracite? Something to think about? What do you think anthracite coal stoker stove manufactures?

I saw one of them at the local county fair in September.
A neat idea and a well made unit. About $1,250 if I remember.

That thing is begging to burn coal --24,000 BTU's wouldn't even keep my 77 sq.ft. bathroom warm ... :o

I installed one of these in my office garage. 18' x 12.' I installed through wall and not as a window unit. This is a well insulated room with a ceiling fan. I have the unit at the lowest setting and it heats up the room from 35 degrees to 70 degrees in about 30 minutes. Then I turn it off for an hour and when it cools down I start it up again. I have no doubt that this over engineered unit will continue to perform at a very high level at a very low cost, regardless of the outside temp. Plus it looks cool and you get a bit of the good smell when it starts. I highly recommend this unit.

I was wondering about this unit. I haven't seen one in operation yet or know anyone who has one. Thanks for the update. How noisy is that thing? Every other pellet stove that I've seen in person was always too noisy for me. That is why I tried a coal stoker first, but this window pellet unit does seem pretty nifty.

It's sold by U S Stove. Should we assume that it's made in the U.S.? ;)
