The price just went down - I'm tempted. Reviews are great but id like to hear comments from those in the forum.

I have a friend that has a Drolet. I do not know which model, but it's almost a square box. It does a good job burning wood, but the "ash pan clean out" is a joke. Also.....and maybe all new stoves are this way?..... you can not turn it down. You put wood in, you get heat out. I'd like it better if it had a thermostatic air intake, but it's a cheapish, funky manual damper.

ended up buying a 1 yr. old Englander 30-NC +blower for $500. Now that Ive figured out how to run it I like it. Hooked to heat reclaimer thing on the stack. Pulls quite a bit of extra heat that was headed for the chimney. Basement has been toasty even in teens.
