Absolutely gorgeous brickwork,looks like it has some of the Count Rumford design principles involved.A true pleasure to study even though it isn't giving heat just yet. Mike

Thanks, These are just standerd firebox designs. They work good, but not as good as Rumfords. We have done a lot of Rumfords in the past few years, I'll ret some pics up one of these days.

Great looking job.

I'm a Toolmaker by trade, but all my friends are in the construction trades. I can't cut a board or a brick straight to save my life, they always bust my butt. I can hold crazy tolerances in all kinds of metals, give me a piece of wood and a saw......forget about it. :)
