And those renewables have been heavily subsidized... And they're still way more expensive.

I'm paying more than Met-Ed right now, but it will catch up. I signed up with energy harbor for 48 months at 10.78 cents and Met Ed was at 9.39 cents. Met-Ed is 10.40 cents as of dec 1 and energy harbor is 13.24 now. Another Met-Ed rate increase coming march 1.

You said you were having trouble being accepted.
I signed up for several offers for my home but was not approved. I have about 6 accounts for multiple properties most of which i just use ppls standard rate. Some of these suppiers i have been with before so i suspect they dont like customers who pay attention and cancel when their rates go up after the initial term. Depends on your zip code too, each zip code gets different offers.

Are you quoting the total cost of each Kwhr for the supply and the

delivery charge added together. You have no choice on delivery.

Our bill has a Delivery and Supply charge so I need to add them

together to get the Kwhr total charge,Then I have to add the taxes

and credits which vary in every area. We also have a basic " ready to

serve charge" of $17.33 per month. Last month $0.12471059 Kwhr.

I have PP&L too. The supply charge price to compare is $0.14612 per KWH. Last month I used 280 KWH at $0.12280 supply charge for a total of $34.38. I had a delivery charge from PPL of $27.27 for a grand total of $61.65, that comes out to $0.22017 per KWH gross cost. If I were to have PPL as the default provider gross cost will be over $0.243 per KWH.

I have a well pump and a coal boiler for heat and hot water year round. Stove and dryer use propane. Just two of us and the wife watches TV and uses a couple of lights and we run a couple loads of laundry a week. I'm away working so electricity usage for us is pretty minimal.

Looks like frontier has accepted me .On my bill it states they start on the 14TH .Which is great cuz the rate is 11.9 which is cheaper than ppls old rate which was 12.3c . And much cheaper then their new rate of 14.6c .Of course thats only generation so still have to pay the fixed cost of distribution so brings it to about 18 to 19c total.
