Has anyone seen a handle with this type end ? Seems like it would lock on for both shaking. And turning the grate to dump ash on this March Brownback small potbelly. I also wonder did these smaller stoves have a ash pan or did they just brush ash out the bottom ?

There are lots of stove shaker handles of all types on eBay. You might find one that fits onto that shaker handle stub.

Looks like it not an extremely rare stove.
Does it/did it have an ash pan ? I don't know. Pics of one I have discovered don't show either way.
Does it/did it have a shaker handle ? I would guess yes. What it looks like, again, pics on ones I found don't show any but it is a part easily lost.
Although the links show ebay listings, ebay does not show them currently.
You trying to re-furbish it? Or use it ?

The stove is like new condition. I do not think many coal fire's have been made in this firebox.
I plan to heat my garage. I also have a cylinder stove and I had it completely restored. I like heating with coal and just like to learn as much as I can about a stove I am working on.
