Coal Size/Type: Nut/Stove

Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a stove that would heat a large wood shop. Shop area is 2200 square feet wide open with 12 foot ceiling. It is very well insulated r38 blown in ceiling, r19 walls all drywall. Wood stove does okay except at night. Was thinking possibly a Station Agent or Army Cannon Heater.
Thanks Joe

Any 80,000 or 100K BTU unit would be fine. Or wear sweaters ! kek

Really, what to you want out of the system ? Easy maintenance, less time attending ?

A Station Agent on the bigger size. Like a number 18 or BIGGER. They go up to 24 inch.

Also B & M or Chileson cone stove. Similar looking in style as Station Agent.
Just a different manufacturer.

Hand Fed Coal Stove: Army Cannon #20

Our Army cannon #20 heats our 1800 sq ft shop & attached 1300 sq ft garage. They connect making a T so are pretty open. Shop has 14' ceiling's, garage has 10'. Insulated very similar to yours, 6" concrete floors. We've been heating with wood fir @5yrs, starting to use some coal now. Wood, we usually get @4-5 hrs of good burn time. If I stock it at 1130pm with good hardwood and big pieces, it will have decent coals at 7 am. If I use smaller pieces or wait till 8, I usually restart it but, the shop is warm.
