Got into the teens last two days so I fired up the splended universal 166 up yesterday it effortlessly heats the house to 75 and the drafts are opened 1/8 turn max... Ive found it's more economical around 20 or so deg to use the kitchen range and parlor stove at low settings than running the range hard...

My Home Stove Works #25 has been chugging along for the last few weeks.

These mica stoves with their warm glow are a joy to be
around. :)

I can only imagine…and that photo is a big help. Simply stunning, Paulie.

I blew that photo up as big as I could get it on my phone and showed it to Levi. He told him who it belongs to as well. He grinned and said, “that is ridiculous, and all we have is a black box.”

I think that photo give him the bug, and why not.

I don't understand. No heat shield on wall and no hearth?

Thanks for the pics - beautiful!

How do you keep your mica windows clean? Mine are pretty “smoked” after two weeks. Is that because I get my coal oiled?

Or am I just too lazy to clean them every week, lol.

It's a beauty!! It's fun to watch stoves like this in the dark. I do it with mine, too.
