See what Antique Stove Hospital or Dana Lapan will give you for it.
2 hours too late. And we mentioned that weeks ago. This whole thread was nothing but a sales ad.

If he had gone that low to start, I would have gone and looked at it. Then he wouldn't have had to take it all apart.

Enough of the woulda, coulda, shoulda, guys... I looked for and found this Coal Stove forum, looking for information and potential new owners of this stove that came with the cottage we bought.

Some of you provided very useful information and we had some interest if we would "give away" the stove to store in Taunton Mass. We adjusted our understanding on price, based on input from this forum.

Yet not one of you stepped up... period.

And the stove WOULD have to be taken apart because the pipe outlet was too wide to pass thru the 36" doorway, despite what one person said. And the 700+ pound stove couldn't be moved without disassembly I was told... go read the thread again.

So this old stove sold on eBay, again because someone here said it was a place to sell.

And now is going into a converted barn in rural Erie Pennsylvania as their main source of heat and cooking. The bonus Oak Parlor Stove was in better shape than it looked, and that will heat a bedroom and loft in the same converted barn. The couple who bought it is ecstatic about getting EXACTLY what they were looking for, they are making the 9 hour round trip because they saw the potential and value.

This was a missed opportunity for you all, some only 60 minutes away.

Thanks again for all your help, and this wasn't a big "sales ad"... I was hopeful this stove would go to someone who at least understood how to operate the stove, the young couple who bought have no clue. Hopefully they learn before they burn down their barn in the woods. Too far off the grid to even hope a firetruck shows up.

Have a safe and happy holiday all.

You're assuming people on a coal forum, that likely 99% already have a coal stove, should have bought your stove because you "found" us ?

If you're truly worried about that couple burning down their place, remember that it was your stove that you sold to them. And if their safety truly worries you, then have them join this forum and we will be glad to help them, like we tried to help you. But your "guilt trip" post is not going to work on us the way you think. ;)

Have a good holiday.

Paul

Hello, glad I found a group of coal users, especially with a few in central NY.

In the process of buying a cottage, and it has an old Glenwood Gold Medal 180 that unfortunately has to go. This stove will be available in early December, and is located within 20 minutes of Syracuse.

I know nothing about this stove, but will be trying to disassemble and store it, unless it sells...then the new owner can do it. This is a PICKUP ONLY sale, you buy it, you come get it. Final address given after sale us confirmed.

Look at the pictures, it burns 3 fuels, all fire chambers look good, owners tell me it was used sparingly in this seasonal residence. Looks like all accessories are there, still being used for burning LPG and wood, does not look like it burned coal in a long time.

Reach out if interested, you know what these great old stoves are worth, and how hard it is to find one in this good of shape. It's not restored, it's just a great survivor.

Listen...hear that? It's opportunity knocking...
