So couple years back i picked up from Barnstable Stoves, a Rush No.9 parlor stove. Nicely restored with a few exceptions.
The flue diverter which covers the bottom half of the flue opening in order to keep the fire from running up the flue had developed a hole in it. upon inspection it was determined that an old hole was filled in with a furnace mortor . Also due to my not knowing how to operate the stove,I warped the fire pot. Took the damaged pieces to Cattail Foundry ( Amish run in Lancaster,Pa.) they made me a new flue deflector and new fire pot.. Flue worked and fit great, the pot wouldn't fit, due to the original was soo badly out of shape.
I asked my son to print me a set of calipers on 3D printer. They worked great for getting the measurements in side for the fire pot. I supplied son with the dimensions and he printed out a fire pot.
No not to use in stove, but to give to foundry to cast a new one.
Well this worked out great, the new pot was an exact fit I am now back in buisiness ready for another couple years.
Big Thank you to Cat Tail Foundry and To my son.
Three cheers for Cattail foundry

Been using them for a couple years.
Better price per part, better quality, much smoother on visual parts , quicker turn around time and shipping and handling costs $20 for 1 pound or 1000 pounds. Plus plating is on the way.
Better all around then the other place.
