- Baseburners & Antiques: Empire Acorn No. 71
Greetings! New to forum. Have Empire Acorn No 71 currently being refurbishing. 2 parts are missing: cast iron 90 deg elbow and circular vent cover/trivet for the opening to heat a second room. These items are visible in the attached pictures gardener posted in Aug 2019 (thank you, gardener!). An alternative tin 90 deg elbow can be provided with the refurbished stove, and I assume the stove can be used without the vent cover. However, I would like to get original parts or suitable substitutes, if they are available. Recommendations welcome!

Welcome E,
Have you tried contacting stove restoration shops to ask if they have parts ? Many have websites now.

There is a parts stove on marketplace in the state of Illinois. Has the cast elbow and the circle plate. $400, good spare parts for when you need them.
Stove will not work without the round cover plate. Might get away with setting a tea kettle over the hole, filled with water. For now.
