I have purchased an 1884 cook stove made by the James Stewart company of Hamilton Ontario.
This is a double sided oven door cook stove.
Of course, I will be setting this up to burn Anthracite and wood. And I have a clean slate to work with as there are no firebox liners or a grate with the stove
I can make steel plate shields and line them with ramset.
For shaker grates, I should be able to use a Qualified Range grate assembly with some minor modifications. The Qualified grate parts are reasonably priced and available, save the gears. The duplex grates should be able to be shaken from the hearth with a rod and a lever on the end of the driven grate. I will know more when I have the stove at hand.
Have included some pictures/screenshots.

For shaker grates, plans are to use Glenwood triangular grates. I will know more when I have the stove at hand.

A few pictures of the stove now that it is home. Going to need new oven top plate, front oven/rear firebox liner and grates. Nothing major.
Will set up to burn wood first to work out the snags. This will give me time to design a coal grate that will work in the tight confines of the ash pit in the hearth.
