Anyone have any advice whether i should break this stove down further for transport? Trying to get to the point where i can safely lift it off its base and lay it down on its back without anything coming loose on me. Anyone have a preference for transporting standing upright versus laying in its back?
Thanks!

I just recently picked up a stove and I took it off the leg base. It rocked easily on that base. The weight of the stove is all that keeps it on there. No fasteners. I don’t know if yours is the same. I also don’t know if that’s acceptable practice. It’s just what I did. My truck has a rubber Matt in it so the stove had some cushion during travel and no metal on metal contact. I had it nestled in the corner of the bed by the cab and tied down. When I moved it with a hand truck I place a piece of 3/4” plywood under it so the weight was spread out and there was less pressure focused in one point by the lip of the hand truck. Again no metal on metal contact. Your mileage may vary.

Make sure to remove little clean out door.
It might fall out between your place and future home.
It might be in front of heater, just below ash door and above the base. That round emblem thing with a nub on it. Or same height but in the back of heater. Might have 2 if in the backside of heater.
Move heater while still on base. Or lift off base and sit on plywood to move.
Appliance dolly from either side or from the front. Not a big fan of laying down to transport.
