what is a French Frame (on a Baltimore heater)

Last night was reading through one of the old catalogs, then I flipped through two of the Abendroth Brothers catalogs.
In one catalog for their York Grand B, with what appears to be a Square frame, it says in the description:
"Furnished with Square, Circular or French Frame."

I gather that a Circular frame is the same as a Square frame with the upper corners absent...
What is a French Frame?

In a different Abendroth Brothers catalog is the Early York. Is this depiction of a French Frame?

As far as I understood, the French frame means a certain style, when the "frame" is cut in a curved way with complex lines and represents the style of Renaissance/gothic

no, haha it's not mine (unfortunately). But it really looks amazing!
I'm more into modern heating systems. I help my husband with a website about house stuff like heaters and humidifiers, and he asked me to google for those Baltimore heaters - really glad I did, now I want one in our house, looks lovely.
You can check some recent heater reviews if you like, you are welcome :)
