Original nickel - repolished with Autosol then applied a coat of Collinite 845 wax . Results , judge from the photos 😀.

Don’t know yet Fred , weather is to mild to put the stove on . Let’s hope I’ve put enough elbow grease into rubbing the wax off - ha ha . But to be fair you only apply a very thin spread of wax onto the nickel , so fingers crossed it will be ok 👍

Don’t be benny , Never thought I would ever be able to own a baseburner stove as crating/ shipping / import duty + vat on top of the purchase price put it way out of my reach financially. But after 3 years of looking one of the members suggested a dealer in Europe who he had bought from . So I contacted him , and he and his son put the stove in his van and drove from the Netherlands to the uk and back ( 1,500mile round trip ) to personally make sure I received it in perfect condition . The stove was pretty expensive to buy but I didn’t have all the shipping costs from the USA that I would have had to pay + the worry of it being damaged in transit . I think it’s beautiful, and thanks to everyone who on this forum have contributed there expertise and knowledge I now am the proud owner of a antique double heater baseburner 😃. If you live in the USA it’s only a matter of time before you will find a stove ( if your looking that is ) As you see forum members picking up great stoves ripe for restoration, and buying them really cheap!!! Good look , and thanks for the kind comments.
