:o So...I have no idea why this little guy landed in my auction cart, but I’m not regretting it (yet). I have zero knowledge on it, would love to use it eventually, and advice is appreciated! It has 117 and Montgomery awards on the back..there is metal parts and handles and such I’ll wind up snapping a photo of, but the big question’s-rebuild it, Is coal or wood burning (wood please!), and did I buy a look see piece or functional? (Never bid exhausted!)

Folks will need to see the inside of the stove to know better what it is capable of. Grates can tell us a lot.

Far from an expert but I'm thinkin she looks usable. :) Again, be patient. Is the bottom door there?

Everything is there, except an ash pan, I took off all the removable parts for transport so nothing fell and broke

An OK Montgomery Ward heater. Late 1920-30.

Burns coal or wood. Should have a wood plate, but not needed. Small hot embers will fall thru holes in grate.

Take it apart, reseal the seams with furnace cement. Put new bolts in it. Paint Black,Red or Pink or the color YOU like.

In the very first picture put a bolt and a big flat washer in the hole where the swing top would go.The top flat surface. At the 10-11 O'clock position.

Small crack in the 1st of three of pics.
Just under the mixing bowl looking thing. In the top edge center of doorway.

A cake pan works ok for an ash pan.

I really like CHEAP auction stoves.
