The globe stoves without the oven have a small base, and my recollection of the catalog illustrations were that when there was a piggy back oven the base was the same as that of the same stove without the oven. This is the first globe stove with an oven that I have seen pictures of. Why the huge base? Definitely not piggy back if it is integrated like that. Perhaps that is not an oven on the back?

Not an oven on the back. Just a bustle like a classic mica base burner.

The base is a litte bigger than normal.

Most likely to offset the weight in the back. Close to 70 pounds of iron hanging off the back.

You go buy it and deliver to my house.
I'll give you 2500.

I want one with the breech below the ash pan. Coming out between the legs.

Could it be acting something like a double heater?
The other photos on that advertisement short of show a vent above where the exhaust is.

Working on it, is this type of stove on your list of 'willing to pay extra' for? :P Even expert bargain hunters pay full price sometimes.

Trying to picture what a breech looks like on a stove. I imagine it is a hatch at the bottom or removable plate.
Or is it something like this stove where the ash pan drawer is much lower?

Is that to be able to drop the ash down the chute?
How would the breech be closed up while the stove is in operation?
