A friend found this, but we don't know anything about it. Is it considered a baseburner?

Is it a good stove?
What's it probably worth?

I think it could be a chicken house or other animal heating type stove but I could be wrong. Its a Jamesway brand.

The top reads
"FOR BEST
RESULTS USE
CHESTNUT COAL
FILL STOVE FULL"
I wonder if that means the ribbed portion of the body is one big magazine?
'Cause it looks like the flue goes up the left side then jogs to the top center before exiting.

That's the way I run mine in the greenhouse.

I get it started with charcoal, throw on a shovel of nut coal, and once it's going I fill it right to the top.

Mine has two adjustable wafer thermostats that regulate the primary and secondary air dampers at the same time.

I have one of these and the story that has been given to me was that these were used on the trains and this would be in the caboose for the workers to keep warm. Trains were already powered by coal and they used it in this thing too.
