I posted this on cooking with coal then realized it probably should been posted here instead. Just finished for a customer.

Thanks Tom. Cook stoves are not easy to redo. I’m glad with the way this one turned out

Yup, a parlor stove seems easy once you've worked on a range. Really nice job, Kevin.

And there's nothing wrong with showing it off such a beautiful range in the Cookin' With Coal thread ! I hope the new owner logs in and shows us some cooking being done on it, too.

Paul

I clicked on the second photo first, for a moment I thought the range had a finial, until I clicked on the first photo and realized that was on the stove behind it.

Very nice range! Makes me want to move to a house that has room for one.

If one was so inclined , I could furnish a finial an mount it to the top of the shelf. I am to please the customer ! Haha. All joking aside , thanks for the compliment

Thanks. Judging From what you’ve done with base burners , it would be well within your abilities !! 👍

It’s paint. Although polish looks nice on bare cast , it will tend to rust more easily. All my stoves are painted. At the beginning and end of the heating season , I do polish over the paint an it cleans up nicely.
