So I have several nice Base Burners. They have been restored, but I need to put some finishing touches. Two sweet Globe models.

Hi, In your first photo showing the stoves all together can you tell me what type of baseburner the one on the far left is ? Can you give me a idea of its size and condition , and is it only cosmetic restoration needed to bring it back to working condition . Has it got mica windows on all 3 sides . You can pm me if it's not been sold . Thanks

Thanks for the reply , but this isn't the stove I was asking about . It is the one to the far left , it looks to have mica windows to the top of the stove , and a flue outlet at the top . It's to the left of the barrel shaped stove . Regards wal

Yes, that's it, without the top in the picture you are referencing. It was in pieces, until I placed the Top on...

Hi , It's not the argand globe stove I'm looking at , it's in your first photo , it's to the far left of the photo , with the barrel stove to its right . It looks to have mica windows at the top of the stove , and also as it's a side view in the photo it shows a oval outlet in the top of the stove behind the finial for a flue pipe . Would love to see some photos of it in various positions, and photos of the firepot . Also overall size / weight . You could pm me the photos if it no trouble . Yours in anticipation wal.

Wal, i think you are a bit confused.

the stove he has shown IS the stove you are asking about. there is a silver multi piece upper on it in the later pictures. in the first pic it was leaning against the yellow bucket to the left of the stoves.

hopefully there will be pics of the internals, that is an interesting piece of engineering.

BTW, i'm not interested in attaining it just curious about how it was made.

good luck,
steve

My little puddle jumper really puts out some heat.

I need sunscreen on my legs when filling the magazine, and on my face when pulling ash pan.

The stove you have found looks similar to the globe stove , but the one in the picture looks more stocky in statue and unlike that stove the mica windows are right at the top of the stove , not at the bottom as per your photo . It will be great if the owner takes plenty of pics 👍

It's an Argand #2. It will be restored and for sale before Winter is over.
