Walking up to 40 degrees and the thought of the expense of turning on the house heat, I started up the range.
After her morning backyard "patrol" the cat has shown that she agrees that Summer is officially over.
Paul
It's official, Summer's over.

Looks good Paul. I bet your kitty missed the warm range over the summer. I keep looking at forecasts seeing if I have an opportunity to lite up. A couple cold nights and cool days ahead but too early to lite for the season here yet.

The EFM went back online last evening, no turning back now. I had it shut down for a week or so for cleaning and maintenance. With 2 little guys here it has to stay comfortable.
It was cool and damp enough outside this morning I was very grateful for the warmth inside.

It looks like its here for good too. I had the Chubby burning wood for a few nights and now the larger stove burning wood. Ive got some crappy cottonwood to burn up, then some locust until it gets real cold, then coal. No real timeline for any of it. However my bones feel so goes the fuel used
Im betting you were just looking for a reason to start up the range again I miss my ugly old cookstove but it couldnt heat my house in the weather here.
