Moore's Airtight heater
I am in need of help! My wonderful husband knows I like what he calls " old and heavy things" so when I found this in a local shop he said it was beautiful and loaded it in the trailer without complaint.. I know I am lucky!
I know very little about it, so a few questions:
1.) Is this a 403b? If not, what is it?
2.) Should the top be nickle, I was thinking it looks painted.
3.) Can someone direct me to where to get a replacement part?
Thanks so much!

That type stove is a "circulator" type stove from days gone by.
Parts can only come from other similar stoves that are not candidates for refurbishment themselves.
Nickle gone bad can be stripped and sent away to be re-nickled again.

If there are no cracks, yes the seams can be resealed with "furnace cement", such as the Hercules brand sold through Lowes and Home Depot.
And, the firepot can be relined with refractory cement in a number of ways that are not difficult for a novice. Try the search feature on here using the words "refractory" and "liner". You should find lots of posts where members have relined the firepots of their stoves with either a "ramset", or a "castable" types of refractory cement.

Found another picture of what a finished 403 looks like. It's here on the Ginger Creek Stoves website - page 2 of their stove pictures.

Barnstable stove has one in the grave yard as of a month ago. Might be able to get some parts.
Did not see any at The Antique Stove Hospital.

I have a lead on parts if anyone is interested. A very dedicated coal customer of mine has a 403b that he restored for himself. I am unsure exactly what extent of parts he may have but if you are looking for any it may be worth your while to get in touch with him.
