So I took a ride to Kittery Maine and picked up a Glenwood 30. In my opinion the Glenwood Oak is one of the finest looking Coal Burners. She definitely needs a good restoration.

Congrats. That's a big project, but when your done, a stove well worth having.
Hopefully the crack in the right side of the firepot's top apron is the only one. Not uncommon to see them there as the rust buildup swells the pot/apron joint to be too tight. Once that pot/apron joint is cleaned up and the crack welded, they are good to go.
BTW, that's also a stove that can use one of the Glenwood magazines that Paulie is working on recasting. You might want to pm him to get in on that project.

Hey Paul, I took a look at the firepot itself and didn't notice any cracks in the interior. Ill definitely look into the magazine. Im not sure who but I plant to send it out to be restored. Not sure who to yet. Id hate to make things worse. I think this is a job for the big guns.ThanksSunny Boy wrote: ↑Sat. That is a nice complete example of an unrestored 30. It actually looks better than many that we work on. It will be a fine heater when done. I may be able to help with some parts like a new back pipe interior etc.
