Hi , just curious if anyone is running this model of stove, and could give me information on amount of coal it uses, size of grate, and if it is a robust well made model ? Thanks 👍

Wal.

I'm not familiar with the 290 model, but Stewart was one of the top quality stove manufacturers in their day. Also one of the longest surviving. Lots of their stoves are still in use here in the USA.

Oh yeah Steve...... And we also spent a day at the Stove Hospital with Emery and Brandon.

My head is still spinning. Guessing we looked at at least a thousand stoves between the three stops.

Definitely worth the trip and the hospitality these fine folks showed us all week was remarkable!
