Good morning All. I recently bought an old Esse Autovector 30 and have it installed in my farm house living room. I have two questions please and would appreciate some guidance.
1. On the left hand round control there are no markings, which would be higher burning, turning to the right or left?. I found a thick plate inside the door which is loose and can be removed, what is this for as my old Esse L in my old home did not have any of these and worked a charm. I bought her for £20 on auction and bought five new window glasses.

Plates above the firebox are typically baffles. Their purpose is to create a longer and/or a more convoluted path for the exhaust in order to capture more heat from it.

Welcome Adrian,
Have you tried contacting ESSE ? I see they are still in business. https://www.esse.com/
They may still have info on that model.
