Yeah , The parlor stove in the lounge has a ornate cast iron fireplace that I restored , them fitted a marble / back plinth , to keep things original as the parlor stove was manufactured in 1860. The stove in the bedroom, I found the wooden fire surround at a flea market / the cast iron insert came out of a government building that was being demolished, and the hearth is stone that I got from a builders merchants .

It appears that you are more than capable of restoring a full mica base burner yourself.

You may want to consider purchasing a base burner project stove and shippimg it over as parts.
This will save you a considerable amount of money and you can restore it as time and funds are available.

If you are interested in pursuing this avenue send me a PM . I have a few project stoves that are reasonable priced and may work for your needs.

Thanks - love anything antique , Bit of a obsession really - so when I finally found the stoves to restore they had to fit in with the houses decor. Still consider the mica type baseburner stove to be the most beautiful functional heater money can by . Your American stoves are stunning ! I will have to content myself with my stoves 😁😁. But I am pleased with the way everything has turned out 👍. And thank you for your kind comments.

Anyone know where a man might find those small dollies that you put under the feet on a large stove so you can move it easier?
