<t>Hey guys here’s the latest project I been putting off for several years. A real nice Florence 151, Mill Lake is doing the nickel right now. Plans are to use this fire pot to have another fire pot recast for my other 151. It’s real nice but has a bad pot. Thinking about doing a little modification to the 151

Thinking about making a back pipe for the exhaust gasses. Still top vent like original but route down the outside then back up the left side of stove. Kicking around rolling a taller body maybe a 30” body. Gonna move the 153 over and run the 151 next year. Would like to see what type of extra heat I can get from exhaust gases.

It would look awesome if you built it out of oval stove pipe.
Oval pipe off the flue exhaust, two oval start collars off the back with a mpd between them, elbow to the right, then down around the double heater intake, and back up the left side, back into the upper start collar and another mpd. Then all you need to add is a damper chain control to operate both mpd's in unison something like this. Another alternative might be to attach it to a Rosemont Radiator if you can find one reasonable. They have the check and bypass dampers already built in. If you decide to extend the barrel .......... You may need a step ladder just to adjust the mpd's or run the flue up to the next floor.
Well, I spent enough of your money tonight so I'm headed up to the crib.

Well got my nickel back from Mill Lake tonight. All the 151 nickel plus a couple other pieces. Turned out awesome as always. Haven’t had much time to get the 151 apart. But will hopefully get it apart and pot sent out soon.

Hey guys, got some parts back from Tomahawk. These are for my other 151 project. I had some extra parts cast. Anyone needing firepot, gas rings, or firepot cover please contact me. Will fit 151 or 51 and possible model 75. If not they will just go into my inventory. Hopefully get time to start re assembly the 151 soon

Well got a chance to work on the 151 today. Did some blasting and painting today. Have the second 151 on deck to use as a mock-up for a rosemont style heat exchanger.

Nice job....Looks like your rolling right along!
Are you going to set up the Rosemont as a backpipe on the same floor or as a double heater on the floor above?
I picked up a double heater style Rosemont radiator a few weeks ago and am still searching for a back pipe model. It seems like they are harder to find.
Got all of the cast pieces blasted but still have to get the tubes cleaned up in the electrolysis tank.

Gonna make one that sits behind the stove. I been looking for an original Rosemont but nothing close to me. I can’t wait to see your rosemont done. They are getting hard to find.

I did find another one identical to mine, I just haven't had the time to pick it up.
They are pretty simple to make out of steel unfortunately they won't be as ornate as the cast iron versions.
