Here is a 4/7 scale model of a Crane Model 44. Top and bottom plate 1/4 inch and the barrel is 8 inch .322 wall thickness. It is clay tile lined with ceramic glass in the door and it was a lot of fun to build! What do you think Mike?

Wow! How much coal does that hold? What size did you make the exhaust pipe? Neat!

To answer some questions, I have fired it on wood and charcoal and it seems to behave nicely.I have a bucket of nut but did not try it yet. The little thing keeps good combustion and I will report on the burning of coal when I get that far. It is a lot of fun to play with and think it would do very well in a small room. Unfortunately I have more stoves than chimneys. I am now rolling up a short piece of 20 gage to fit the 3 inch flue outlet. After a discussion on this forum I did decide to go with 3 inch for the flue outlet. The 3 inch smoke pipe available in stores is so thin and galvanized that I have no use for it so I will try a larger sized decent weight riser that will attach to my rolled stub out of the back of the stove.. This stove is not as easy to move around as it looks and I suspect it is in the 60 70 pound range. Mike

Very nice job.

Feed it lots of coal so it can grow up big and strong like it's Daddy stove.
