Baltimore heater, what to know?

Some Baltimore's have a rod sticking outside of the stove that you attach the shaker handle to.

Others have sliding or hinged access doors that open. The shaker handle is then inserted into a hole or notch in the grate.

If the stove has a draw grate, the end of the draw grate extends out thru a small plate. You attach your shaker handle to the end and move the ring from side to side or pull out to dump klinkers.

Thanks Simon ! And after you open the little door here is the tool you stick inside to shake the Sunnyside Grate. :D

And, in fact it works so well that even when you put it down, .... it looks like it's still shaking. :lol:
