This might be a dumb question but, you DO plan on using that stove? Right, I hope lol.
I'm willing to do a second mortgage, how much do you need for it?
Trying to make Ashley insanely jealous ?

This would be the other "other woman" lol. I could keep her a secret since Ashley lives in the basement. Although, she would probably wonder why I was hauling coal upstairs hahaha.

The Favorite is a very well designed stove. Actually the side wings are cast in such a way that they form a internal passage when installed. People always ask if the bottoms were broke off but this is how they were cast. (See pic). This passage draws cooler air from the floor up inside the side wings, into passage in to crown then out the vent holes in the top. Just a trophy queen, the workhorse Florence 153 has been running strong for the last month. Only have one location to burn coal at.

Here is a pic of the vents in the top. Air flows from inside side wing and from inside passages in back of stove up stove to the vents in the top

Paned, nice looking stoves! What is the story with the exhaust pipe on the Hotblast?

It has such a short pipe before it goes in the chimney liner so I use the copper pipe and bans to pull the most heat out of pipe. Normally get 175 degree difference from barrel to pipe. Pipe at chimney normally runs 150-175. If I run stove at 400 pipe will only be 200. I run all winter on nut coal. Modified the secondary air supply to almost completely blocked since I strictly run anthracite.

Very nice stove Paned. Always interesting to see an antique stove restoration, just like a rough diamond becoming a rare jewel.

Of all the stoves I'd like to have a Favorite is at the top of my bucket list. I want one because they were made near me. That one is a stunner for sure. Would love to see a finished one in person sometime. I would love to find one to re-furbish for a project for my dad, myself, and my young son. Great to see another forum member from Ohio. Love the HotBlast also.
