Hand Fed Coal Stove: Florence 153 Hot Blast Air Tight

Post by mad58285 » Mon. Nov. 06, 2017 6:15 pm

Greetings! Just inherited a Florence Stove from my parents. I want to use it for wood since coal in California is harder to obtain than wood but have questions about the stove. I noticed the stove can come apart. Are there supposed to be gasket material between the sections? Is there a site I can go to for more information? I have plenty pics and would like any information from those with similar stoves. Also, what is the extra hole next to the exhaust?

Thanks. I don't have the finial installed. Any suggestions where to learn more on the stove? What about sealing the sections?
