Yes, you are right. I was not considering the secondary air holes. Working in conjunction with the magazine feeding hot coal, it should work well.

Just a quick update. Sunny Boy was gracious enough to loan his magazine for us to measure up and create a pattern.
My original hope was to find someone with a 3D scanner, scan it, calculate the shrinkage from the first recast, add that plus the anticipated shrinkage for this recast and print an oversize 3D model for future duplicates.
The scanners and printers available within 500 miles were all too small. I didn't give up on that entirely, and have been in contact with Penn State Engineering Department who may be able to take it on as a project.
Meanwhile, I decided to sacrifice the Premium Oak #32 magazine that is pictured on the previous page.
This magazine fit perfect in the Glenwood #6 but like Paul pointed out the back side was flat and it would reduce the volume. It is also shorter, lacks the flair on the end and bolts together different.
After placing them side by side and carefully measuring
them up the light came on.
The Glenwood magazine is made up of two identical half's. By cutting the side mounts and end off the round side of the Premium Oak magazine which is already cracked I could make a pattern that will allow for the shrinkage.
The plan is to take a silicone cast of the top of Pauls magazine to duplicate the casting letters, numbers, and pour ridge and transfer it to the Premium Oak #32 donor pattern.
I started out by tracing both out to make it easier for everyone to see that when completed the recast should be very close to the original after casting. I will post more pictures this weekend but here are a few .

Try Clearfield Metals. They should be able to scan, make foam mold
and pour the castings.

Thanks Artie, I'll give them a call Monday.
I took a look at their website and see their specialty is powder metals manufacturing.
Hopefully they are expanding into other fields than what is shown on their site and have something in their R & D lab.
The other metal injection moulders or powder metal component manufacturers I'm familiar with, all utilize a press and sinther process and are limited to a part size of under 20 square inches in both their mold cavities and process ovens.

If Clearfield can't cast them, they may at least be able to scan and make a pattern that Tomahawk can use ?

Hey Steve, How's it going ? I was down with the bug the last two weeks but was able to take home the trim off that G6 in the shop and buff it out.
Other than a few little spots on the middle skirt, it came out really nice.
