Finally got my range hooked back up after the big D... Redid house floors and improved my set up... We also cemented all the seams and tightened up the firebox... My thoughts is she is a 1920s vintage... also had new cogs made one spare set too...

I wish I had your decorating skills! Treadle machines always look nice in an old look setup and the radio (or maybe record player) in the corner, and all the other trinkets hanging around. It really looks nice.

I do have a quick question for the experts this will be the first time she runs anthracite... Im an expert with her and wood... On her firebox side is a pair of draft regulators.. They both appear to be under air regulators and this stove has no check draft just a loading chute... should I use both drafts for anthracite or just the bottom...

Wood burns best with air fed over the top of the fire (or from the side in your range's case).
Coal burns best with air fed underneath, so close the upper of those two slide dampers and use the lower damper for coal.

This evening I switched the range over to nut coal... She has a a good set of lungs when opened up and coal took right off... The oven door closed with drafts shut and MPD closed idled at 350 ish... stove top is hot water dances on it... with oven door opened and basically using it as a base heater the pipe at MPD I can touch but not hold up 12 or so more feet in the house,it is warm but I can hold it... Im happy with such small heat loss...

No I didnt have it redone... It was my grandmas then my folks dragged it with us through 4 states as we moved... Only thing I did was to have me hear dogs made at a local welding shop and bought new duplex grates from Lehmans... It's all original... I pull it apart and seal all joints in the top every fall and give it a good cleaning l...
