I can't find any rated over 600F with an internet search. I've used the red 600F on the plenum and stove pipe joints of an oil-fired furnace I had in my last shop. Almost made it through the first winter before it got cooked and leaked.

I have used this on stovepipes, Pretty good stuff.
I wouldn't use it in a firebox though!

Nice! That one is good to 700 degrees. Advance Auto Parts sells it for $7.99 per tube. $6.29 at Walmart.Olllotj wrote: ↑Thu. Oct. 19, 2017 11:41 amI have used this on stovepipes, Pretty good stuff.

What I remember was seeing a link to a company that made a special silicone rated for over 1000F, and being surprised at how much higher that rating was than the usual 600F, give or take a few degrees. But, now I can't find it. Must have been a really good dream ?lsayre wrote: ↑Thu. Oct. 19, 2017 11:06 amSee my post above. Permatex Red 650 degree silicone adhesive.Sunny Boy wrote: ↑Thu. I've used the red high temp silicone to make gaskets on my G109 ash and clinker doors. Went through a whole season with no ill effects. I was just curious. I've seen stoves with what appeared to be red silicone in the joints. I know my G109 had this same silicone in the joints when I tore it down.
