Before you decide on replating, check out Mntbugy's Glenwood 114 thread . He did a great job polishing up the original nickel.

Try Skips idea on nickle cleaning. That's what I used. Soak 24hrs in baking soda and washing soda water with a couple Brillow pads or S.O.S..
Brillow has blue jewelers rouge in it. Then rub brillow on parts. Finish with chrome polish.
I spent 4hrs on finial alone to get shinny. Skirt parts shined up alot quicker

Miss spoke it's Dfrost idea

Update on the nickel,

I did talk to mtbugy about the best way to polish up the nickel. I gotta say it worked great! Problem is there wasn't much nickel under all that crude. I'd say it was about 50% gone. Would've been great if the nickel was in better shape but its not the end of the world either. At least I learned something along the way.

Your finial looks like it will clean up nice with light pressure scrub. Them ears are fragile.
Don't know about dome under finial.

Thanks mntbugy but no. That is actually just polished metal. I blasted it all clean as most of the original nickle was in poor shape. I then started sanding and polishing. I have a lot of time in it but to see it in person its not perfect by a long shot.

Fellas it is with broken heart that I inform you that my wife went to be with the lord on January 19th. We found out she had cancer on July 13th of 2017 and exactly six months and six days later she was gone.

Iv'e debated for days about whether or not to post about this but this place has become somewhat of a second family to me. Even though I have never met any of you face to face, I feel as though I know many of you very well.

It seemed appropriate that I share this pic of her and Skip on our trip to pick up this GW 116 last March. I can tell you that her and Skip got along great and she brought home almost as much home as I did; none of it stove related.

It's difficult to find the right words but you have my sincerest condolences. She looks way to young, happy and full of life to have left this world so soon.
