I finally overcame vague fears and made my son steak. I forgot it but still okay. He said it was lit. -_-.
I'd send you a can of Dry Basement, but it probably wouldnt clear customs. It smells like high grade magic concrete made with ash carefully produced at home in a special furnace that could have been built for the express purpose of producing the aforementioned magic ash, considering how much ash is generated, but the special furnce was actually built to produce heat.

See? A range is inspiring and I overcame my fear of exposed coals. You gotta get you one. Six burners.....

Poor Joe has been informed that those six burners will be his because he'll be doing all the cooking. :o

Not all "better halves" appreciate our love of using antiques. :D

It totally blows me away about the interest in the cooking with coal thread. I think it has more hits on it, than Carter has liver pills. (that doesn't sound right)
Jen, you should get involved in the thread of our new lady member with the Acorn cook top stove. Bet you could really send some INspiration (not "PERspiration") her way. Or as Kevin Spacey was quoted as saying in the movie "K-Pac"..."Hospital, Hospitable?....Hmmm" (Don't know why I thought of it, but had to put it out there. Sorry, it's been a long day, and I'm beat. I'll stop now  )

It's under the " Baseburners and Antique" catagory, and listed as "Need help with acorn stove".
(I looked in the search bubble, but it didn't recognize it for some reason.)

We are expecting up to 15 cm of snow, freezing rain etc. Warm yesterday when I got home so let everything go out. Had let range go out the day before, no time before work, bricks all over the place still hoping to find poundable but just haven't had time.
ANYWAYS, Started both this morning as home today and slowly could smell toast burning but thought that was impossible but finally looked in range and found the.
Awwwwww, the children must have gone to the range and tried to make breakfast yesterday but the oven was cold.

I've put bread in the electric toaster oven and forgot to plug it in. But, I'd think the lack of heat near the range would have been a good hint for them ????
