Just picked up this stove on craigslist for 100 bucks. Locke stove company is the manufacturer. Looks like a bigger model of the warm morning line they produced. Anybody seen this stove before. Looking for any tips with using this. Its going to replace my Wonderluxe 2350B model which was very labor intensive with shaking down coal ashes.

do a search here for Locke Warm Morning Model 120 or #120.

several of us have these stoves and the one you just bought seems to be a excellent example esp. for $100.00.

i've never seen a lid marked like that, but they sold stoves to everyone.

Looks like she'll hold quite a few pounds of coal. Good luck with it. I don't know much about it.

they were primarily intended for Bit. but they burn Anth. just fine.

search posts from member Buck47 about these stoves , among others.

that stove will hold 120#'s of nut. I haven't heard of them needing more than 100#'s and adding 20#'s every 12 hrs. in -20F and high winds.

every application is unique though, chimney location and total height, distance above roof line, close trees, structure insulation, windows, etc. etc.

no matter what, that is a very good stove and when you learn it's sweet spot you will be amazed.

plan on installing a manometer and an MPD and running it at -.02 draft. from there you can feel your way lower IF you have the chimney draft force to support it.

here's another one from a company I haven't heard of but have seen their stoves before, I recognize the arrow heads at the corners of the loading lid.

this by the way is the condition most of them turn up and WAY over priced. you made a very good deal.

another little tid bit about these heaters http://content.cdlib.org/ark:/13030/ft2t1nb0tf/

accidently found one of the previous owners of your stove,

there seems to be more of these survivors out there.

Steve,
I am looking for chimney bricks for a Locke 120. I’m new to the forum and not sure I’m posting this correctly. Would you have any for sale or know where I could find some? Thank you!
