That poor stove, so sad and cold, just longing for the opportunity to keep its owner warm with radiant coal heat. What a shame.
Simon, I'd be pleased to give her a sense of purpose, to make her happy. I wouldn't even charge you support for her.

That's a beauty Simon.... Your got me motivated and singing .....Hark The Herald Angels Sing Fa La La La La

So much to do and soooooo little time. But hopefully once the little greenhouse is done I'll get caught up.
Meanwhile my Home Herald Oak sits patiently in line, awaiting it's turn.

My wife once uttered that the four Taunton horsemen kinda look all the same. We still talk to each other now and again. Glenwood, Wings Best, Quaker (still looking) and the Herald. All great stoves but there is something about the Herald.

Hi,
This looks like a 'Herald Meet 'N Greet'-Wow!!
I didn't know there were that many Herald's out here in coal country. Wilson has the twin to my 14" oak sitting in one of his rooms, in that 'umteen' room house. They are easy to tend(triangular grates), and burn wood, as well as coal.
Glenwoods are a plenty, Heralds are a few. Nice to hear they are out there.
CN- I saw a Quaker at Wilson's, big dude, 16", or 18". Too much for my house. If it had been a 14", I would have liked to have it to go with my Mom's Quaker kitchen range.
Cheers

The Quakers are huge and the #8 must be a monster. God, the G#8 is big enough, I can't even light it. Trouble is Sunnyside is a love affair all on its own. I am a basket case. Still it's a much cheaper hobby than a Ferrari and an 18 year old shop assistant.

October snow on Mt. Washington yesterday, 35* here at 6AM today. I put some wood in the 'Herald' and fired it to burn the 'Summer' cobwebs out of the chimney. Next, it's time to give it a coat of Williams polish. We have a cool week coming up, if the 'blue ladies' show up, this 'Herald' will be ready to dance!
Wilson, if your listening-thank you. You refurbished a great heater for us. We love it!
